WOW, what a great seasoning mix! I love making oven fries and this recipe is the perfect accompaniement to them! It is spicy, really spicy but not in a way that you cant taste anything else. The different spices and herbs go great together and make for a lovely flavour! I also used this on puffed millet balls for snacking and it really kicked them up a notch. YUM! THANK YOU SO MUCH for sharing this recipe with us, PetsRUs!

Made this as directed except used regular black pepper (what I had) instead of white. The smell alone is awesome, will use this in a cajun recipe I’m making but can see it being used on many, many things. Made for Cook a thon in memory of Pets R us

This is super simple to make and I had all the ingredients on hand except onion powder. I had onion flakes and chose to use them instead. They look enourmous in the photo, but I did give them a chomp with a knife first. They may be different texturally, but I’m sure they’ll work in the recipe I made the mix for (Cajun Spiced Shrimps) If they don’t, I’ll let you know.

Really enjoyed using this seasoning. It made enough to nearly fill a complete 1.25 oz spice container. I used this in a cajun burger recipe and I couldn’t be happier. Much appreciated. Thanks for sharing.

I needed some cajun seasoning for Cajun Chicken Pasta #12531(great recipe, btw)–and this was perfect! I really liked that it was not just all salt. I’m excited to try this as other reviewers have suggested: oven fries, salmon, and veggies!

I needed a cajun mix for the chicken I was cooking so I whipped this up. It is delicious. I didn’t have white pepper so I added more black pepper. I also added a 1/2 tsp salt.

Having grown-up in a Cajun household, well-seasoned was in order, but not spicy hot. With the advent of Paul Prudhomme’s popularization of “new” Cajunism, it’s finally become vogue to be Cajun…something that was “not” in my day. Anyhoo, this seasoning mix is fabulous. By all means add the salt (sea salt is even better) AND a smidge of sugar. Trust me on the sugar. I’ve just coated a couple of extra boneless chicken breast with this mix and sauted them in just a dab of olive oil. The arouma and taste was out-of-this-world good. You gotta give it a try and you will be bestowed the now honorary title of “Cajun”.

This is a great Cajun Seasoning. I only used 1 tsp. of cayenne pepper and didn’t have white pepper but still only used 1 tsp of black pepper and it was plenty spicy for me and I LOVE spicy. I added 1 tsp. of salt as well. The flavor is really great. I suggest start with the minimum on the white/black pepper and cayenne pepper, taste it and decide how much more you want. I used it with Bayou Pasta with Chicken Bayou Pasta With Chicken ( Copycat Chili’s Cajun Chicken Pasta ) and it was a fantastic and easy meal. I look forward to using this on many dishes.
